Cestujeme po Portugalsku a posíláme další zážitky z cestovatelského deníčku. Tentokrát na skok do pohádky anebo raději přímo do oceánu?!
Ocean
Na první výlet k oceánu jsme se vydali do menšího přístavního městečka Peniche, které nabízí velký výběr dlouhých písčitých pláží a vyhlídek s útesy, mimo jiné je i velkým rájem surfařů. Co si budeme povídat – pláže byly krásné a oceán vypadal královsky, ale koupání na tomto místě bohužel nebylo úplně mým šálkem kávy – teplota vody byla okolo 18ti stupňů. 😀
We arrived at the small marine town called Peniche first to see the ocean. There are plenty of long sandy beaches and impressive coast views. This town is also very popular for surfers. Honestly — the beaches were so charming here and the ocean looked super royal but that wasn’t my favorite place for the swim — because the temperature of the water was about 18 degrees. 😀
Vydali jsme se tedy objevovat přilehlé vyhlídky a městečko, které mělo nádherný portugalský nádech. Neodolatelná vůně pravé kávy se linula všude ze všech malých kavárniček a úzké uličky byly opravdu kouzelné. Jako třešničkou na dortu byla vyhlídka u majáku Cabo Carvoeiro s majestátní skálou vyčnívající z oceánu. Bylo krásné zde sedět a pozorovat lodě, jak mizí v dáli…
We started to discover the magnificent views of the ocean and a delightful town that had a cozy Portuguese savor. You could smell the best coffee flavor everywhere from the tiny cafes and the narrow streets were really charming. There was a breathtaking view with the remarkable rock in the ocean – this place is called Cabo Carvoeiro and you can see it on top of a marvelous lighthouse. We sat there and observed disappearing ships. It was definitely icing on the cake.
Sintra
Pohádkové městečko s bezpočtem pozoruhodných hradů, upravených zahrad a paláců leží asi 20km od Lisabonu. Město mělo dříve arabský nádech a tohoto vlivu si lze povšimnout i na místních stavbách. Zároveň však bylo později letním sídlem královské rodiny a tak mu zůstaly také slavnostní rysy. Celé místo má zároveň i kouzelné zabarvení, a tak nikdy nevíte, jaká pohádka začíná za dalším rohem…
Fairytale town full of neverending castles, astonishing gardens, and palaces lies 20km from Lisbon. The town had the Arabian scent in the past and you can identify it on the local buildings but it was the summer residence of the royal family later so it has festive looks too. All places there occupies a magical atmosphere so you never know which fairytale will start around the corner…

We chose a romantic fairytale full of stones walls, lakes, caves, and lovely fountains. Initiation Wells / “Obrácená věž“
Dvě studny s tajnými chodbami a ukrytými labyrinty v jeskyních, které nikdy nebyly využívány pro potřebu vody, působí až lehce strašidelným dojmem. Na spodní podlaze najdete kompasovou hvězdici, ležící přes kříž templářů a jak už název napovídá “iniciační studny” sloužily pro tajné zasvěcovací obřady. Mech obrůstající kamennou věž a stékající voda ze stěn vás přes tajemné točité schodiště dovede až do jeskyně. Nádherný a nevšední zážitek!
Two wells with secret halls and hidden caves labyrinths which never have been used for the water needs to pose a little bit scary. You can see the compass star lying over the cross of the templars on the bottom floor. And how the name says “initiation wells” was made for the secret initiation ceremonies. Feel the growing moss on the stone walls and dripping water at the magical spiral staircase leading to the cave. Such a beautiful and unusual moment!
