Black or white, man or woman, vaccinated or not-vaccinated… Where are we heading right now? How suddenly can become archenemy from our favorite friend and how long we can let divide ourselves without even recognizing it?
Černý nebo bílý, muž nebo žena, očkovaný či neočkovaný… kam jsme se to vlastně dostali? Jak se může stát z oblíbeného kamaráda velice rychle úhlavní nepřítel, a jak dlouho se ještě necháme řadit a rozdělovat bez sebemenšího vědomí?
Podle mě není rozhodující jakou barvu kůže člověk má, k jakému vyznání se hlásí či kolika zdravotními certifikáty s QR kódem mě může oslnit. To nejhlavnější je uvnitř každého z nás, a to si myslím, že je to, co bychom měli zkoumat. Jestli je člověk hodný, empatický, vtipný, přátelský, chce lidem pomáhat anebo třeba škodit – to je to, co by nás mělo zajímat. Tak nějak jsme v běhu pandemií s nekonečnými vlnami úplně zapomněli na to, jak moc důležité je nenechat se rozdělit.
In my opinion, it is not significant what is the color of your skin, which religion do you belong to, or how many healthy certificates with QR codes you can amaze me. The most meaningful part is deep inside of us, and we should discover it. If the person is kind, empathetic, witty, friendly, wants to help or hurt everyone – those things we should consider of. We practically forgot during the neverending waves of pandemics how important is not let to divide us.
Poslední dobou okolo sebe vnímám hodně vyhraněné názory a skupiny, které do sebe neustále naráží asi jako mořské vlny proti útesům za pořádné bouře. Nemožné to zastavit a pokud se vyskytnete poblíž, tak jako tak neodejdete suší. Ať už je pravda jakákoliv, nemůžeme na naši stranu přesvědčit každého. To bychom rovnou mohli všichni začít chodit stejně oblečení, se stejným parfémem, jezdit ve stejných autech a mít na chlup stejné domy. K čemu přeci je mít vlastní názor či pohled na věc?
Lately, I feel there are many contradicting views and groups and they are constantly crushing on every step. It is like the sea waves crashing into the cliffs during a big storm. It is impossible to stop or prevent that and if you stay around you are not going to leave dry. It doesn’t matter what the truth is we never can convince everybody to our side. If that would be possible we could start wearing the same clothes with the same perfume, having the same cars and precisely some homes. Why is it good to have your own ideas?
Chápu rozdílné pohledy a uvědomuji si, jak je lehké podlehnout manipulacím ze všech stran. Jak lehké je někoho odsoudit či pomluvit. Jak ale můžeme někoho hodnotit bez toho, abychom si obuli jeho boty a trochu si s nimi zatančili?
I feel you – two different worlds and I’m also wondering how easily you can be defeated by manipulations from every corner. How easy it is to judge or decry someone. But how can we criticize anyone without trying their shoes and dancing in them?
A tak jelikož je tu před námi zcela nová kniha s bílými stránkami, píši tento článek spíše jako skromné přání nežli kázání, abychom se všichni začali respektovat a snažili okolo sebe zářit pozitivní náladu a lásku více než konspirační teorie či studie o bezpečnosti vakcín. Abychom si uvědomili, že to nejdůležitější je spojit se a ne rozdělit se. Abychom rozvíjeli soucit a hledali v ostatních to dobré. A všechno to, na čem doopravdy záleží.
And just like that, there is a (new episode of SATC – just joking😀) new book with clean and bright pages and I’m writing this article more likely as a modest wish than a lecture to connect you with everyone. Let’s start to respect every person and let’s share the positive vibes and love around us more than the conspiracy theories or studies about safe vaccination. Can we realize the most important thing is connecting us and not dividing us? Let’s grow empathy and look for the good. And everything else which matter too.
