How to get to Minca?

Nejjednodušší možností je přiletět na letiště do Santa Marta a ze Santa Marty si vzít taxi přímo do Minca (cca do 1h jízdy) nebo využít kolektivní taxi či autobus z centra města. Můžete také přijet autobusem z Cartageny do Santa Marty (cca 6 hodin) a poté se dostat do Minca.

The easiest way is to fly to Santa Marta airport and then take a taxi straight to Minca (approximately 1 hour by car), or choose shared taxis or buses from the city center. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Cartagena to Santa Marta (approximately 6 hours) and then proceed to Minca from there.

V Mince často prší a nejsou zde příliš pohodlné cesty a chodníky. Doporučuji proto nabalit si pláštěnku, krosnu nebo batoh a pohorky či boty do terénu. Dobrý repelent a cestovní moskytiéra jsou také na místě.

In Minca, it often rains, and the paths and sidewalks are not very comfortable. Therefore, I recommend packing a raincoat, backpack, along with hiking boots or sturdy shoes for the terrain. A good insect repellent and a travel mosquito net are also advisable.

My jsme strávili v chatkách u řeky několik dní a celý pobyt jsme si náramně užili. Je to jedno z těch míst, kde se skutečně můžete napojit na přírodu, běhat bosky a potulovat se kolem řeky. První noc, hned jak jsme přijeli, se přihnala velká bouřka a vypla elektriku v celé vesnici. Nebylo nic kouzelnějšího, než usínat při bubnování deště do střechy, vzdáleném šumu řeky a zažívat ten klid a tmu. Prostě kouzelný moment v přírodě.

We spent several days in the cabins by the river, and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay. It’s one of those places where you can truly connect with nature, walk barefoot, and wander around the river. On the first night, shortly after our arrival, a big storm hit Minca, and the electricity went out in the entire village. There was nothing more magical than falling asleep to the sound of rain drumming on the roof, the distant murmur of the river, and experiencing that calm and darkness. It was simply a magical moment in nature.
